Bit less complicated than that nowadays. As far as I can tell it usually involves hitting the space bar on your laptop and waving your hands about a bit. Depending on the artist it can also involve wearing some silly headgear.

Never heard of him, but from what I can see he:
- had no musical education
- knew nothing about the history of music
- could not read music
- could not write music
- could not sing
- could not play any musical instrument
He was not by any stretch of the imagination a musician. Not even a musical artist.
He was an entertainer, in the same sense that Benny Hill, Ken Dodd or Bruce Forsyth were.

I'd never heard of him but after a Google found that he'd make £180,000 a night doing DJ gigs. Seems a lot to pay someone for sticking 'Agadoo' on, then at ten to two, a few smoochies.

I'm a huge dance music fan but never really got into Avicii as he was aiming at a different fanbase, but there is no denying that he was a master and brought dance music to the mainstream audience, especially in america. He was probably the most prominent dance music artist of the last decade so you have to respect him and what he achieved. I think he was just an introvert that hit the big time and could handle being famous and used alcohol as a mask. It is tragic. RIP
